MasterMover Rocks With PS3000+

There is no greater endorsement than a returning customer – especially when an expanding business trusts our reputation for creating safer working practices as well as our engineering knowhow to match its own growing capacity.

For a materials processing company in Leicestershire, a longstanding relationship with MasterMover and familiarity with our machines meant that we were the obvious choice when it was time to upgrade.

The aggregates supplier, which processes stone from quarries, wanted a more flexible way to move a heavy-duty cone crusher weighing around 25 tonnes. Cone crushers are typically used in the aggregates and mining industry to break larger pieces of material into smaller chunks.

Alternative methods such as using a combination of forklift trucks and overhead cranes were considered but rejected in favour of a MasterMover PS3000+, following the company’s previous orders for two MasterTug machines six years ago.

The PS3000+, our most powerful machine to date, is capable of moving wheeled loads of up to 30,000 kg. Wirelessly operated, it allows a user to have complete visibility and total control even when transporting difficult and awkward components and parts. It even uses MultiLink technology, which enables the PS range to be wirelessly synchronised together, so that loads can be moved in multiples of 30,000 kg up to 360,000 kg.

Anthony Brown, of MasterMover UK, said: “Our customer was already familiar with MasterMover and the many safety and efficiency benefits of our load moving solutions. When they heard that we had developed our product range to offer even more weight capability, they were interested in learning more about the PS3000+.

It was delivered on site last year and has improved safety and efficiency. Remote control means that the users can stand at a preferred distance from the load, therefore improving safety and visibility.”
