MasterMover’s Performance And Cost Efficiencies Hold Appeal In German Markets

MasterMover plans to increase awareness of the redeveloped MasterTug range at the forthcoming CeMAT exhibition in Hannover following the success of LogiMAT.

Attendance at LogiMat resulted in a series of enquiries and demonstrations vindicating the decision to form MasterMover GmbH, a Dusseldorf-based subsidiary in 2013, to provide local support to the rapidly developing customer base in Germany.

MasterMover GmbH has been instrumental in the recent sales and exhibition success and has helped increase awareness of electric tugs to a cross-section of German manufacturers, each with different materials handling needs. These new adopters have found that the tugs, which operate on a weight transfer principle enabling a single pedestrian operator to move heavy loads easily and safely, offer a well-engineered and efficient solution for industrial handling.

“The German market has always engaged with the attributes of MasterMover’s product line.

High-standards, quality and reliability embody the characteristics of German manufacturing and, as such, these companies prefer to work with suppliers who reflect those principles too”

explains Andy Owen, MasterMover Managing Director.

“Even before the formation of MasterMover GmbH, Germany had long been one of our most significant export countries. Customers recognise the value of machinery that offers lean benefits,” he continues.

“Installing automation equipment within an assembly line can be expensive, often inefficient and also raises health and safety concerns. Electric tugs present a cost-effective, lean and safe alternative – capable of manoeuvring loads of varying sizes and weights through every stage of a manufacturing process. Needless to say, the long-term cost implications of this are enormous.”

Improving its offering within the UK and Germany, as well as a growing number of global markets, MasterMover has recently re-launched the MasterTug range. The re-designed family, available in nine different configurations, can move loads of up to 120,000 kg.

“We’ve redeveloped our MasterTug range to deliver a choice of capable and reliable machinery. Each model is now better specified for the differing manufacturing environments whilst remaining ideal for improving efficiencies and moving heavy loads in a controlled manner,” confirms Andy.

MasterMover will continue the role-out of the new range whilst showcasing and demonstrating at various market-led events. The next exhibition planned for Germany is CeMAT in May.

“We’re expecting a similar level of interest at CeMAT and hope to meet manufacturers from the north who produce products such as Wind Turbines which need to be moved with care. We have experience of this and other applications that relate to the audience at CeMAT. There simply isn’t a comparable machine range that’s capable of delivering the same efficiency, reliability and quality,” Andy Owen concludes.

“Our dedication in furthering the development of this equipment has been pivotal in creating the positive reaction of the German market, renowned for seeking well-engineered solutions that improve efficiency. We’re delighted with the reaction we’ve had to our improved range and look forward to presenting it to a wider German audience where the demand for our product is strong.”
