Dennis Eagle renew MasterMover fleet after years of service
MasterMover is continuing the next chapter in supporting Dennis Eagle’s production processes with a new fleet of electric tuggers, which are enabling single operators to safely and efficiently move loads across the company’s Warwick site.
Dennis Eagle, a world-leader in the design and manufacture of garbage collection vehicles, has taken delivery of 10 new MasterMover electric tuggers – including the new PS3000+, which was delivered in December.
This latest addition is being used to move bin semi-trailers, which weigh 8 tons with a 2.5 ton king pin weight.
The PS3000+ is safely and efficiently moving the trailers from one building to another as part of the production process.
This and the other MasterMover electric tuggers delivered this year to Dennis Eagle replace the first round of machines, which have each clocked up around 15 years of service on the production lines.
Included in the line-up are eight machines from the MasterTug range – four MT20-800’s, produced to Dennis Eagle’s custom requirements, as well two MT400+’s.
With the MasterMover MasterTug range, a single operator can push, pull and steer loads of up to 44,000 lbs, with the reassurance of safety features including automatic braking and a self-adjusting castor guard to protect against trapped feet.
The other two machines chosen by Dennis Eagle are MasterMover ATP400’s, which enable a single user to push loads on rails up to 176,000 lbs.
Other features include the addition of coupling devices that link to Dennis Eagle’s trolley systems on the production line.
The end result is a seamless movement of goods across the manufacturing site.
The machines also all underpin Dennis Eagle’s commitment to sustainability, with each featuring an electric recharging system offering emission-free and low noise operation.”
