MasterMover Derby Bags An Accreditation Hat-Trick
MasterMover bags an accreditation hat trick
As a company that provides solutions to Health and Safety handling issues in many of Europe’s largest businesses, it is imperative that MasterMover leads the way in keeping it’s own house in order when it comes to safety. In July this year, the company gained acceptance on to the ‘Safe Contractor’ national register and with it was awarded Contractors Health and Safety Assessment Scheme (CHAS).
To add to the list, the company successfully renewed their ISO accreditation – for the ‘design, manufacture, supply, repair & service of pedestrian controlled powered handling equipment’.
Safe Contractor Accreditation scheme
Being accredited as ‘safe contractors’ is a sound and logical move for MasterMover. With staff out and about on clients’ sites, accreditation automatically demonstrates to clients that the company is compliant with key areas of health and safety law and satisfies the legal obligation for staff to operate safely on site.
Whilst some may regard this as bureaucracy, the team at MasterMover recognises the benefits that it can bring them as a member. The award greatly reduces the need to repeatedly complete application forms and questionnaires to gain acceptance on to potential clients’ supplier lists, saving resource, time and money. Paul Yeomans, Technical Manager, said “With ‘safe contractor’ status, my service team can go on site and the client knows they will follow safe methods of working. We no longer have to complete paperwork to enable us to do this. It is a major benefit”.
Contractors Health and Safety Assessment Scheme (CHASE)
Fulfilling the criteria for CHASE, via Safe Contractor, is a highly important step for MasterMover as it confirms that the company meets acceptable standards of health and safety and is compliant with all parts of H&S law.
Increasingly public and private sectors customers look for compliant suppliers to do business with and CHASE is sufficient proof that MasterMover® meets all necessary standards.
ISO
The renewed ISO certification is a proven mark of the quality processes and structures in place at MasterMover. The business is structured around the requirements for ISO which gives it not only a customer focused framework, but the opportunity to continuously improve all management systems within the business.
Mark Grindey, Operations Manager at MasterMover with responsibility for health and safety within the factory, comments , “ISO ensures that all staff are engaged in to the quality process and follows the processes set down by the company. It gives us all a clear work ethic and works extremely well”.
Andy Owen, Managing Director, is committed to the business being certificated in all areas. “I am delighted at our success in these three vital areas of accreditation. It is proof of how we operate as a business and testament to our professionalism with regards to all Health and Safety standards. We are serious about maintaining our leading position in the market place and these standards are integral to our success”.
