MasterMover GmbH Is Formed As Next Stage In Export Growth
MasterMover®, provider of worldwide electric tug solutions, has reinforced its export success by founding MasterMover® GmbH – its first wholly owned subsidiary – in Germany.
The company believes that establishing an official local presence is a crucial step towards further growth in one of MasterMover®’s most promising territories.
“Germany is the manufacturing powerhouse of Europe and a nation of machine builders, making it the logical home for our first subsidiary,” explains Andy Owen, Managing Director of MasterMover®.
He explains that Germany has been very supportive of MasterMover® technology, recognising the value of pedestrian-operated electric tugs as a means of improving efficiencies for manufacturers. Designed specifically to move heavy loads in a safe and controlled manner, MasterMover® tugs offer a viable alternative to forklifts which enables manufacturers to structure their assembly lines in an optimised, ‘lean’ manner.
“The ethos of MasterMover® revolves around innovation, convenience and efficiency, all hallmarks of German manufacturing. Consequently, Germany has been one of our biggest export markets for many years,” Andy adds.
MasterMover® has a strong reseller network in Germany, and employs German-speaking staff at its Derbyshire headquarters to support direct sales, but has never had an official distributor in the country. That made the establishment of MasterMover® GmbH an attractive proposition, as a means of formalising the company’s commitment to its German customer base.
MasterMover® GmbH will be headed locally by Georg Rützel, an experienced technical engineer whose role will be to conduct on-site equipment demonstrations, provide aftersales support and servicing, and liaise with resellers.
“Georg brings a wealth of expertise, both in terms of his knowledge of electric tug technology and his understanding of the needs of German manufacturing,” confirms Andy Owen. “We are delighted to have him on board, and we are sure that MasterMover® GmbH will quickly become a thriving business in its own right.”
MasterMover® GmbH will sell the company’s full range of electric tugs, from the powerhouse MasterTug to the recently launched All-Terrain range for more demanding applications. These machines are complemented by specialist solutions for retail and healthcare.
