GROUP FINANCE MANAGER – Ashbourne, Derbyshire

We’re looking for a Group Finance Manager with the passion to make a difference, to help us drive change globally in the way world-leading organisations move and handle heavy, high-value items, from roll-cages to aeroplane wings!

The ideal candidate will take ownership of and develop processes, driving change and achieving efficiency gains in our finance team.  They will have experience in managing the accounting operation for a group of companies, supporting our operating units in the UK, France, Germany and the USA… and be involved in our future growth into new territories.

As a key member of the finance department you will report directly to the Finance Director and have direct responsibility for the day-to-day management of both the finance function and the team.

Your key responsibilities include:

  • Producing accurate monthly management accounts for UK and foreign companies while adhering to reporting deadlines
  • Providing and maintaining a robust level of control across the group balance sheet
  • Day to day management of the accounts team, including training, development and performance management
  • Preparing and producing annual statutory accounts, and liaising with external auditors
  • Assist in the annual production of detailed budgets and performance forecasts
  • Partnering with departmental managers to assess financial performance and drive efficiency
  • Analysing and financially reviewing product profitability to ensure visibility across the board

Is this you?

  • Extensive experience working in an advanced finance position, in a manufacturing or engineering environment
  • ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualified
  • Highly motivated team-player with clear capability to manage, motivate and develop a team
  • Solid ability to run with ideas and drive change
  • Good communication and can proactively drive continuous improvement to processes and controls
