Mandarin-Speaking Technical International Sales Support (Asia)

Job Purpose - to identify technical product solutions for potential clients in Asia, and coordinate sales administration activities.


  • Engineering qualification / degree (ideally Mechanical)
  • Experienced in providing technical support solutions
  • Bi-lingual - fluent in English and Mandarin

    • Interact at a technical level with potential customers and dealer partners
    • Interpret customer requirements, understand design drawings and translate them into presentation materials that outline the recommended product solution(s)
    • Collate technical project details and complete documentation with machine specifications
    • Qualify and respond to sales enquiries, and accurately record opportunities and customer details and specifications
    • Provide quotations and process customer orders
    • Ensure customer account and payments terms are set-up
    • Liaise with key stakeholders in the full sales cycle including Accounts, Design, Production, Purchasing and Shipping

      • Previously worked in a manufacturing/mechanical engineering environment
      • Experience of working with mechanical equipment
      • Expert in analysing technical data / drawings and recommending suitable solutions
      • Experience of undertaking process driven administrative tasks (ideally in a sales office environment)

        • Dynamic and confident in engaging and interacting with a wide-ranging audience
        • Good listening and questioning skills
        • Extremely organised with good time management, forward planner and ability to prioritise
        • High level of attention to detail
        • Effective communicator, both oral and written
        • Experience of using a CAD drawing software (ideally SolidWorks)
