Our electric tugs and tows are the product of choice for market leading organisations and worldwide brands in the aerospace, automotive and pharmaceutical industries, as well as in retail, health care and other sectors of the economy.
The Mechanical Assembly apprentice position will include enrolment onto an 18-month accredited apprenticeship scheme. Earning whilst you are learning, you will be working as part of a dedicated engineering team, in a fast-growing business, assembling components for our unique range of machines.
This role is suited to someone who is looking to learn and build a career in production engineering. You will learn what the role of a Mechanical Assembly Operative is, and the value it brings to the business. The role is to assist in the build of our MasterMover products on-time and in line with quality and safety processes, and you will have the opportunity to master all there is to know!
Key activities include:
- Providing support to build and assemble hydraulic, electrical and battery powered machinery
- Assisting to achieve build deadlines by working to the production schedule
- Adopting a continuous process improvement approach to further optimise quality control and eliminate production inefficiencies
- Working closely with the wider team to escalate any build issues and assisting with the required resolution to complete the production build
- Supporting with goods in and warehouse processes, along with the kitting of components
- Maintaining a safe, clean and healthy working environment
- Experiencing full training to gain exposure to all aspects of production processes
Is this you?
- Eager and willing to learn new skills, with a hands-on approach and a passion for manufacturing/mechanical engineering
- A hard-working individual with a positive can-do attitude towards their work
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to work well with others
- Strong time-keeping abilities while maintaining a high level of attention to detail
- Good IT skills
